To take advantage of the spectacular color the Grampians has to offer in springtime, this years festival will be held on the 27, 28 and 29th October 2017 to avoid the heat of summer. The Halls Gap Jazz Festival has long been known as a fun and friendly festival with great bands and great venues. This year will be no different. The event will be a more intimate affair than in the past, spread over 7 great venues and with over 60 bands featuring fantastic music that will have a wide appeal to the traditional music lover.

With its old-style country hospitality, charming cinemas and an array of internationally renowned films, the Halls Gap Film Festival is one of the most exciting events in the Grampians region. The Grampians Film Society, together with the committee of Halls Gap Tourism, hosts this amazing film festival. Whether your interest is in classic cinema or in the latest movie collections, the Halls Gap Film festival includes something for every taste. After its tremendous success for over three decades, this popular event draws thousands of visitors to Halls Gap each year. Started in 1979, the Halls Gap Film Festival was a major hit in that year with over 150 visitors attending the event. At present, the event is one of the most well renowned events in the Grampians region, with thousands of visitors from all across the globe attending each year. This year, the Halls Gap Film Festival is set to amaze its patrons with an impressive array of popular films from all parts of the world. Many featured films from other large festivals, such as Cannes, will also be featured. The event will have an official Friday night launch, followed by two days full of movies. Also included in the show are many popular critically acclaimed movies from all across the globe. Come here with some friends and spend two days enjoying this unique entertainment event in the beautiful Grampians region.

We think those foot stomping boys from Hamilton, The Settlement, must be there! With many custom and hot rod car enthusiasts heading to Halls Gap for this fun day out, Rod Run is a major hit amongst all car lovers in and around the Grampians. The event also features a number of displays from New South Wales and Queensland

A month-long food and wine festival showcasing the best of the region, culminating in the 26th annual Grampians Grape Escape weekend, 5 & 6 May 2018. The Grampians Grape Escape food and wine weekend is held during the first weekend of May every year at Halls Gap. A number of other food and wine events are held in and out of region to showcase the many offerings the Grampians boasts – making this a month-long celebration. Enjoy the Region’s signature wines while you graze your way through the delights of local beef, lamb, pork and turkey; as well as beer, teas and herbs, olive products, preserves, gourmet sausages and pies, cookies, cakes and fresh organic produce.

Halls Gap, the heart of the majestic Grampians National Park, one of Victoria’s most stunning natural features, will play host to the annual Run The Gap event on Sunday May 27 2018. Participants can complete a 6km walk/run along Fyans Creek trail, run 12km including a lap across the wall at stunning Lake Bellfield, or test themselves in the 21km trail run. All proceeds go to community project to enhance walk bike / walk paths.
